The Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism and
its focus on strengthening supply chain security is an important layer in U.S.
Customs and Border Protection's cargo enforcement strategy. Through this
initiative, CBP is asking businesses to ensure the integrity of their security
practices and communicate and verify the security guidelines of their business
partners within the supply chain.

Speaker Biographies:
Diana Lieber
Graduated Suma Cum Laude
with degrees in Social Psychology and Human Resources Management.
Retired Air Force.
Joined U. S. Customs
Service in 1995.
Was assigned to Miami
International Airport from 1995 to 2000.
Was and Instructor for
U. S. Customs and Border Protection from 2000 to 2005.
Is currently a Program
Officer in U. S. Customs and Border Protection C-TPAT program.
Al
Klukowski
Al Klukowski has
been an aviation security professional for over a decade and is currently
assigned as a Transportation Security Inspector – Cargo for the Transportation
Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security, at Eppley
Airfield, Omaha, Nebraska.
Mr. Klukowski began
his federal career with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) while in
college in Washington State. After graduating, Mr. Klukowski transitioned to
the Air Traffic Division of the FAA in Renton, Washington. In March 1997, he
joined the ranks of the FAA’s Civil Aviation Security Division, conducting
security assessments and inspections of both domestic and foreign airport and
airlines at dozens of domestic airports, serving as a local coordinator for
explosive detection K-9 teams, and participating in national special security
events such as the World Trade Organization talks in Seattle in 1999.
Mr. Klukowski
served with the FAA and TSA for four years at the International Field Offices in
Frankfurt, Germany and Singapore. During this time, he conducted assessments of
international airports in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Southwest, and
Southeast and northern Asia that provide either airline service to the United
States, using internationally accepted aviation security standards and
recommended practices.
Also, from the
period of March 1992 to March 2001, Mr. Klukowski was in the Washington State
Army National Guard as a reconnaissance specialist, leaving the Guard with the
rank of Sergeant.
